Howdy! Below, you'll see "Poor Sole" a group project I worked on alongside four teammates in our VIST 275 course at Texas A&M University. Each member carried out specific duties which contributed to the final product shown above.
I held the dual positions of Project Management and Modeling, putting me in charge of schedule, workflow organization, and documentation of duties and deliverables by the team. As for Modeling, I utilized Autodesk Maya to create several props and decorations to be utilized in our project. Enjoy!

The environment showcased above is intended to evoke an impression of a talented but exhausted shoemaker, who has found himself drowning in success due to the quality of his craft. As his work becomes more widely known, his shoes are in high demand, and he is suddenly surrounded by letters of praise and special requests.
Thus, many of the models necessitated by the story of the environment were unique to a shoemaker and his craft. The models I designed are shown below, created in Maya before being surfaced and added to the scene! Enjoy!
From Left to Right, Top to Bottom:
(Just like reading a book.)
- A series of modular coin stacks to be oriented around the checkout register
- A shoemaker's smaller hammer, and a prying tool for separating materials
- A flip-flop!
- A traditional Japanese Geta sandal
- A zoomed out shot of the partial tool set
- A pair of shoemaking pliers
- A curved shoemaking knife for precise cuts and measurements
- A shoemaker's hammer
- A separated shoebox and lid, for varied poses around the environment
- An early rendition of the exterior sign
- An early rendition of the interior sign
- The shoemaker's trusty workbench
